Wireless Adaptor?

#1

I have a wireless modem which I use with Ps3 and Xbox but cabled to the PC.

I have a mac book I would like to use with this modem as well.

Not sure if I need to but an adaptor or how to do this.

Any ideas

So it’s a wireless modem router? Does the mac book not come with inbuilt wireless? If that’s the case you’d need to get somethin like this - http://www.netgear.com.au/au/Product/Adapters/Wireless-G-Adapters/WG111. That’s not a specific recomendation, just one of the first google results.

Not sure mate. Ill see if its got inbuilt wireless. I imagine then its only about searching for networks and allowing the Mac to access the modem if thats the case.

I wasnt sure if the Mac had different requirements

Asus N10 or [URL=“http://www.edimax.com/en/support_detail.php?pd_id=347&pl1_id=1&pl2_id=44”]Edimax 7811 for the small size.

Both work with Macs. All recent macs come with wireless, must be old?

Dare say it has wireless built in unless it’s ancient. There are no different requirements, just search for your SSID and enter the password.

Throw the Mac out your bedroom window, run it over with your car. Cut your self with a razor while looking in the mirror repeating over and over " im sorry daddy im sorry, ill never have another apple made product in my house again " Then go get somthing with windows on it. Problem solved, you can mark this one down as resolved mate.
