How have I fallen for marketing crap . . . I wanted a Wireless Gaming Headset, and Logitech are a good brand.

All normal (as using standard wireless, not special studio stuff) wireless headphones that i know of sound poor for the price, mainly due to cross channel talk from other wireless devices. You pay alot for the privilage of no wires basicly.

The ‘3d’ you get from surround sound headphones like that also is (imo) pretty crap, from hearing the G35. A good pair of headphones can work just as well (anything with a wide soundstage).

Logitech are a good brand for other stuff, keyboard, mice etc, but for sound pretty much the only decent thing they make is the 5500d’s. Some of their sub $150 speakers are ok, but you can usually get better in other less well known brands.

#3544

Well, most experiences with any product are hit-and-miss, so hopefully my experience is a hit!

#3545

dragon summed it up pretty well, you can get headphones that sound alot better for alot less. It just seems that losing the wires comes at a pretty huge cost, its not the sound quality your paying for

#3546

Well, your making an assumption that the sound quality is bad. The G930s are widely reported to be one of the best sounding wireless headsets.

Oh, and as a final note, if you have seen my desk, you would agree I need ALOT less wires XD

#3547

and one more wire never killed anyone :stuck_out_tongue:

#3548

Actually, lots of people get choked by wires, haven’t you seen any murder/spy shows!!! lol

for those running WCing, heres a pretty cool looking coolant

#3550

looks cool … but will probably clog shit up to the max.

Im prob gonna swing away from dist+silver shortly from the recent chaos - not sure if my blocks are ok or not - will pull one apart at some point. Im gonna grab some Ice Dragon coolant next :shades:

#3551

You have problems with dist/silver AZ?

#3552

isn’t ice dragon the same kinda stuff as that aurora, i can’t much about the ID stuff, found one threade on some forums but nothing useful from it

#3553

I dont that i know of mac ( but havent looked). But what started with EK block nickel plating failing has continued into the EN series ( revised Nickel plating edition) and into koolance blocks too.

So the nickel issue seems to be more widespread and even the companies are pin pointing the dist+silver as the culprit.

It doesnt effect the performance … but who knows what the long term might be. I don plan on switching gpu blocks for some time so I am keen o make sure they are good for the journey.

I’ll continue reading the fourms and see what happens.

Cab : The ID is nano fluid which has the same viscosity properties of water but better heat transfer

That mayhems stuff you posted is dye ( additive ). The ID is the base that you can then add dye for efffect too. In its natural state it is white - they have taken a range of tests with colouring/dye and it requires a fair bit to gt a prominant colour (overpowering the white). Id still stick with my coloured tubing over a dye imo.

Some of the issues known with the Dye :

Any injected CPU block will clog very very easily, infact the CPU-370 actually fails Mayhems testing with the internal injector plate still in place.

The particles will seperate, and fall out of suspension after a period of time.

It will have a ball bearing effect on finished products, such as nickel coating.

#3554

Looks really cool but I wouldn’t be caught using it for obvious reasons.

As for problems with nickel plated blocks, stick to bare copper, haha.

What I like is they claim to eliminate artifical light, by that logic when you wear them you shouldnt be able too see anything since the lcd is lit by artifical lights…

33 inch LED TV for main monitor with a 21 inch monitor to the side.

#3560

V9 TT :yucky:

nice big monitor, though i never see the point in TVs as monitors, same amount of pixels just bigger and they can make games look a bit worse
