Looking for graphics card

as stated in my other thread, I’ve managed to break my gpu, or its just warn out.
so now I’m in the market for a graphics card thats capable of playing bf2 on low with a fairly decent frame rate. I’m not sure what thats gonna cost me, I think less that $100 as my friend just got an 8600 something or other for like $120.
my Mobo supports AGP and PCI.

AGP - Radeon X1650 $ 125
PCI - Asus 512mb 8600GT $132

The later would be the better

I have the first one in my second PC and its pretty good.

AGP Cards

When you say PCI is that PCI or PCI-Express

yeh, I’ve got a few models in mind, just got to think about it.

my MoBo hasnt stated pci-express anywhere so i doubt it supports it.

if it’s got AGP on it then I doubt it would have PCI express slots on it.

I’m looking at getting a 7600GT or GS AGP card too keep me going till next year. Though i’m not sure whats better the GT or the GS. The GS is $180 while the GT is $120 minimum

yeh lol doesnt matter now. Mocha has convinced me to properly upgrade now (CPU, MB, VC, Ram). Prolly looking at the 8500GT now. It’s only $100 but meh, I dont have to spend heaps and i’ll need to upgrade anything under a 8800 in a year anyway.

I can put it together no problems though. I know what im doing now (shutup mocha)… well more than 5 years ago when I first put one together lol

As for shopping for shit. Theres a few places down here. I’ve already found a few things that were cheaper than on some of the online sites I was looking at. But I havent got anything yet. Knowing me i’ll change my mind in a few days lol
