Chk Dsk

#1

After I installed everything on the new HD, the pc wants to run chkdsk on start up.

This can take fukin hours. Am I better off reformatting and reloading everything again or will chkdsk actually fix the errors if I let it run.

Usually all that’s happened is something has set the flag to run it, type “fsutil dirty query C:” (or whatever drive) to check.

If so yes usually letting it run through will fix the issue (even if there is none, im not sure of other ways to clear the flag).

That advice seems solid.

All fixed, just reformated…may be the long way around but Id prefer to have no issues at all…cheers
