So, I have one question.

The kit only comes with female connectors, dows that mean you have to use the ones connected to the power supply and only chnage the ones on the actual components or can you purchase male molex connectors as well.

LMAO, you are turning into a PC addict!

Ordinarily, you do not have to buy any new molex connectors at all, you should be able to reuse the ones that come on the PSU. The pins are basically held in there with little tabs that the molex remover will click down and allow you to slide the cable out. You then place the sleeving over your wire, heat shrink etc, then just click it back in.

The only reason that kit comes with the female connectors is so you can have different colours.

This is the best sleeving guide that you will ever come across. I suggest you follow it if you are keen on doing it.

i purchased 1 meter of blue sleeving from that mob a while back. $2 for the sleeve and $14 for postage!!!

There are some packs floating around that have a whole heap of sleeving and heatshrink. I did used it on a HDMI cable and it looks trick.

I dont want to do every cable i.e each cable for the PSU, just the molex crappy wires cause they not only look shit but get in the way.

Be sure to keep us updated with pics when you get around to it.

That is another good Australian source for cable sleeving/modding in general.

your entering the danger zone chilli … welcome to the addiction.

you will start with the molex… but once done … the thirst will grow and the psu will be done … approx 40-100m of sleeving pending the psu … and then its case mod and water time.

Sleeving is very tedious work from the countless poss ive read … but rewarding for the finished look. Its my last frontier that im heading too … at some point soon … it will be conquered.

why the blue sleeve, black looks nicer, I’d get one of these kits http://www.murdermod.com/sleeving-kits.htm mate of mine has one

#8

nice pack, got one for a thrid of the cost and I like the blue as I think it goes well with the blue neon lights. black looks slick but the cable blend in with the case and I want them noticed. yellow or red would have been nice too…fuk it,ill build more pc’s…lol

noticed like this?

#10

haha, thats sick, looks like a crash cart…CLEAR!

Murdermod kits are the best about, but you pay an arm and a leg for them. Nothing wrong with buying from an Australian source.

Actually, with the dollar as strong as it is atm, would almost be worth it, not sure what freight would be though.

#12

Sadly shipping is still dear … looking around $30-40 for enough sleeving for a full psu … plus $50-70 for the sleeving … thats from PPC where i was nearly pulling the trigger and buying it from

#13

got some from the link in the first post $14 plus $15 shipping

Nice, keep us posted.
