Update:
A large number of players who have installed 1.50 have been unable to use ALT+TAB without the game crashing out to Windows desktop. As such and with thanks to nea_alecu doing some investigations, our programmers have come up with a fix.

We are also working on a full installer which will be the 2Gb file for those who are new to Battlefield 2…
I have no idea where my previous thread on this topic went, but here goes:
Now that Battlefield 2 and its 1.5 patch have been released, a new bug has been introduced. Which I’m sure will result in a 1.51 patch.
If you are having problem when you attempt to either ALT-TAB or CTRL-ALT-DEL midgame and the result when attempting to switch back into the game is a CRASH or black screen of death. Then you should turn OFF your Battlefield 2 AA (Anti-Aliasing) setting. Don’t ask.
Report back if this helps.
