Awww Az, don’t you know how much women cost? I’m feeling the need to cost a girlfriend versus a prostitute soon!

#5

LOL i would like to see that blog entry.

#6

Trust me go the prostitute its cheaper in the long run…

#7

But lonelier?

#8

depends on how much you pay her :tongue2:

#9

Maybe you could sort somethin out like the long stays at caravan parks. Keep her for longer at a lower rate?

#10

lol i think it might be more like a timeshare.

#11

This is obviously a topic worthy of deep thought and consideration

#12

I say it’s a topic worth doing first hand investigation on

#13

I have some knowledge on this topic chum. The really expensive hookers, not only look and perform better, save you money in the long run. How does a $800 escort save you money compared to a $120 skank you may ask? The answer: medical expenses.

Plus with quality you see a noticeable improvement in hygiene, a lack of track marks and screaming kids in the next room, no pimp knocking on the door telling you that your hour is up, and they will drive you home.

No contest.

Would you like to be a guest writer? I might include that post when I feel like terminating the blog.

Haha, great post. Very entertaining.

What you said about physical media (particularly bluray) being on its last legs is not something I entirely agree with though (brace yourselves). I feel that the demise of blockbuster actually has more to do with illegal downloads, rather than people actually buying digital copies. People seem to prefer the lesser quality due to it being free and lazy.

Until the NBN is completely rolled out, I don’t see anybody who currently owns a bluray player switching. Even then, a true bluray title can be of 50GB in size, you would need a 1TB cap before you could even begin to download them without reaching your monthly quota. You can always download a compressed BD rip which may be of 4 - 8 GB in size and still retain great quality, but it’s not quite on the same level.

If there is anything that is damaging to the progress of bluray, it’s that nowhere near enough people have made the switch from the still acceptable DVD. VHS practically disappeared over night, forcing people to upgrade, that’s the key. Bluray is still overpriced in local stores and the selection of titles isn’t close to that of the shelved DVDs. People who did jump on the bandwagon are usually videophiles or just tech junkies in general, a quick look on Amazon will show that Bluray isn’t as overpriced as it would seem. If you were to ask me, I think a DVD on a 32" or larger screen is the equivalent of watching a VHS over a DVD, it’s not fantastic… Bluray is a huge leap forward. To quote Phillip J Fry “It has better resolution than the real world.” (He was speaking of HDTV, but the point is valid, haha).

Haha thanks for the feedback Nip Nip, I think we’re getting close with the internet capability for mega downloads. 1TB and infinite download plans have been forged ahead with by Iinet and TPG with Telstra and Optus playing catchup. That takes away a lot of the pain of downloading HD movies even if it’s only techheads like us doing it so far.

It’s only a matter of time though, it took a couple of years for DVD to fully penetrate the market, and by the time Blu Rays get that far we’ll all have mass internet powers.

GO PIRATES! ARG!

A 1TB plan would be unreal. With that sort of cap, with a ultra fast 100Mb connection, I’d kiss physical media goodbye too. It’s the “way of the future” haha.

Although that creates a whole new problem for those of us that are bluray supporters, we’d need to obtain a far higher amount of storage space in order to keep up with our current movie download demands.

Once again, it is the DVD(SD) vs BluRay(HD) battle all over again. Many people will stick to downloading smaller sized movies whilst sacrificing quality so they could fit more movies onto their HDDs. I still think that we need to force people to make the change to HD media.
