Also, multiplayer!

I’m pre-announcing a temporary leave of absence from Battlefield division when this comes out.

Runtime is 9 minutes.

Its very over simplified. Some of the design decisions are disappointing:

[]Preset larger regions (no “god” / terrain editing)
[
]preset region transportation (transport to your city from the region).

Beta is out today, with one hour time limits on gameplay. No saving.

New Simcity is great.

Maps are REALLY small. Like Simcity 4’s small map size, if you remember. They have said they will not be increasing map size. Because of this I’m not sure if I will be buying.

You cannot design your own maps, you have to choose a plot from a pre designed region of ~3 maps.

Other than these gripes, it plays well and looks sexy. Performance is fine, so I’m not sure why they do not increase map size.

The dashed border in the picture is the map size.

PC Gamer: “Are SimCity’s cities too small?”

This is out tomorrow.

If you’re thinking of buying: DSE and JB have it cheapest. $68/9.

EB is a rip. $79 and you get one addon.

Origin is $99. And you get the three addons.

You can buy the three pack of addons from Origin for $20. But the addons arnt worth it anyway.

The math is better if you buy it from DSE/JB regardless of whether you want the addons now/later/never.

Personally, Im going to buy for the hell of it, because $69 is a lot better than what initial Origin prices are.

If you are on the fence due to some of the bad design decisions (small map size/no terraforming/always online), or want some light entertainment, watch the first 20-30 minutes of Quick Look: Simcity.

Simcity is horrible and broken and horrible. I have one of my cities in a state which refuse to dispatch police/ambulance/school bus. In addition to no buildings need power. Only network that works is water and ground pollution, which is fucking fantastic because I definitely need both of those to run a successful city. Also crime is persisting despite a complete bulldoze. Game is fucking fucked.
