Now one week ago I got a pair of Astro A40 and only a week later the fucked up due to an issue with the 2013 model. They have been returned and now I am need of some advice.
I am looking at a new headset yet again and as always I am picky as hell. I am currently favoring Audio-Technica and Sennheiser headsets. But I what I want is quality and lifespan. The first being the most important but I want em for at least a few years.
My current focus is Audio-Technica ATH-AD700, and seeing as I can get them for $100 its well within range. But what I need advice on is a sound card that will work in perfect tandem that holds its price at about $200 it can be a bit more but has to fit my ancient Asus P6T.
My only real focus is that it hold its sauce for gaming and can do all my hard and dirty dub.
I am currently without a headset so this is at least a little bit urgent. I know little about sound cards so some advice would be great.
