I’ve brought this up before, but I’ll do it again if anyone is interested… Cinematic Mod 10 is out!
For those that don’t know what i’m talking about, a fella has spent what seems to be the vast portion of the last few years of his life making epic mods to HL2. The textures, bump mapping, HDR work he’s done is staggering. Here’s a little intro
FYI if you’re like me and can’t stand the lima model he’s finally produced a hi res version of the standard alyx. I also don’t particularly like what he’s done with some of the other ppl, but since alyx is the one you spend most of the game with it doesn’t bother me.
The download is MASSIVE. The final release atm is only on rapidshare.
What i’ve done is dl’d the beta 1 and RC (don’t think u need RC tho) and going to get the final update. This has let me use other sites that allow download accelerators and no gay dl limits.
What i’ve used (haven’t finished but can’t see why it won’t work).

The final update is here , but i’m using this german for some parts of the file, as again i can use the dl accelerator.
