Mac : I think the difference is the layout for the 2 variations ( dual bay for d5 and the kit version for the xspc pump) and the way the d5 inlet is directly inline with the res inlet … i wish i had got a good shot of it to show ya… but its the same as the top res for them… just feeds straight into the pump so air doesnt escape into the res… it just cyles straight into the pump causing headaches lol. The “shield” is the only way to easily get the air to escape into the res unfortunately.
